The Cuyahoga Group was founded in 1988 by Jim Variglotti. First year sales were two hundred thousand dollars. From the humble beginning we have grown to one of the largest privately owned foodservice companies in Ohio. The success of Cuyahoga Group stems from Jim's philosophy,

"Take care of the customer, and the customer will take care of you."

The Cuyahoga Group operates in 55 counties in the State of Ohio, in the Northern, North Central, Central and South Central Ohio areas. The Cuyahoga Group has over 1,000 customers throughout Ohio.  In 2000, the Cuyahoga Group became a franchise of Canteen. Canteen operates throughout the United States with over 18,000 clients. The Cuyahoga Group is a locally owned company that been serving the food industry since 1988.
